Responsibilities
- Preventive Maintenance: Perform regular inspections and tune-ups on residential generators to keep them in top shape—checking oil, filters, cooling systems, and electrical components.
- Repairs & Troubleshooting: Use your diagnostic skills to identify and fix generator issues quickly and effectively.
- Load Testing: Test generators under load to ensure performance during outages or peak usage.
- Fuel System Oversight: Manage natural gas or propane fuel systems, including storage, quality checks, and levels.
- Documentation: Keep accurate, detailed records of all work performed—crucial for compliance and performance tracking.
- Experience: 1–3 years in residential service work preferred. Generator experience or Generac certification is a strong plus (and may qualify you for higher pay).
- Technical Skills: You’re confident in inspecting structures, installing and wiring systems, and independently planning jobs and ordering materials.
- Customer Focused: You’re committed to delivering an exceptional experience for every client.
- Strong Communicator: You express yourself clearly—verbally and in writing.
- Detail-Oriented: You take pride in your precision and protect company assets.
