Generator Mechanic

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Diesel Generator Mechanic with direct experience servicing, maintaining, and repairing diesel generators in the 70kVA to 300kVA range. This is not an entry-level position.

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, safety-conscious, and capable of working independently or as part of a team. Diesel engine knowledge is a plus and will be factored into the compensation.

Key Responsibilities:

- Diagnose, maintain, and repair diesel generators (70kVA – 300kVA)

- Perform scheduled maintenance and inspections

- Troubleshoot generator control panels and electrical systems

- Document all work performed and communicate effectively with supervisors

- Maintain a clean and organized work area

Required Qualifications:

- Hands-on experience with diesel generators (70kVA – 300kVA)

- Ability to troubleshoot both mechanical and electrical generator issues

- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

- Ability to work in various environments (indoor/outdoor)

- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Preferred but Not Required:

- Diesel engine experience (Perkins, Cummins, etc.)

- Technical or vocational training in diesel mechanics

- Familiarity with load bank testing and remote monitoring systems

Compensation:

- Pay is based on experience and skill level

Pay: From $80,000.00 per year
