This person will be responsible for advanced troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing electrical generator systems and related engine mechanical failures on generators and in addition to other company owned equipment.
Duties:
•Perform preventive maintenance on all company owned equipment
•Load bank equipment with full understanding of both reactive/resistive testing
•Rebuild/repair major components and systems including but not limited to engines, generators, electrical systems, Tier 4 emission, etc.
•Provide descriptions of repairs and maintenance on equipment and ensuring the appropriate paperwork is completed
•Serves as a leader when training others in preventative and corrective maintenance
•Assist with filling spare parts inventory including sourcing, storing, and replenishing of supplies
Requirements:
4 years experience with diesel power generators
4 years hands on experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician, preferably dealership experience
•Exhibit general knowledge of AC generators, voltage regulators, circuit breakers, electronic controls and power systems
•Must have appropriate tools to perform all repairs and services
•Manage and operate company owned vehicles/equipment in accordance with established policies and procedures
•Must be open to working overtime, nights and weekends as needed
•VCads and WiTECH knowledge is a plus
•Welding and fabrication a plus
•SCR and DPF knowledge required
•Experience with A/C and Electrical a plus
•Willingness to be trained and understand all of the above
•Manage and operate company owned vehicles/equipment in accordance with established policies and procedures
License/Certification:
•Valid Driver's License (Required)
