By leveraging our patented Hydrothermal Liquefaction (HTL) technology, we transform organic waste into bio-oil, which is permanently sequestered deep within the earth. Our mission is to address industrial waste challenges while driving sustainability through innovative zero-waste solutions. As we transition our technology to full-scale commercialization, we are expanding our operations team.
Position Overview
Reporting to the Director, Engineering, the General Laborer will play a critical role in supporting the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of our HTL process equipment. This role involves general maintenance support, materials handling and general site duties to support plant performance and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
•Adhere to all company safety protocols, work practices, and policies.
•Support Engineering and Operations team to ensure reliable HTL process operations
•Manage feedstock handling, including unloading and transferring materials between tanks and mixing systems.
•Support and conduct general maintenance tasks for the process and equipment.
•Participate in monthly safety meetings, conduct hazard assessments, and report non-conformances.
•Perform physical tasks, such as lifting up to 25 lbs (including overhead) and operating a forklift to unload trucks.
•Support site upkeep through tasks such as cleaning, painting, grass cutting, and waste removal.
•Potential to be trained as a Process Operator.
Qualifications:
•Experience: 1 year general laborer experience
•Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment with strong communication skills.
•Work Ethic: Self-motivated, dependable, and able to manage multiple priorities under deadlines.
•Flexibility: Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and overtime as required.
•Education: High school diploma an asset
•Safety: Safety-sensitive role requiring PPE compliance during work hours. Additional safety certifications (e.g., first aid) are beneficial.
•Licensing: Valid Canadian Class 5 Driver’s License with no restrictions. Forklift operator certification is an asset.
