Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Laborer/Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting various operations within our facility. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. As a Laborer, you will be responsible for various tasks that contribute to the efficiency and productivity of our operations.
Responsibilities
•
Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, cherry pickers, and pallet jacks to move materials safely and efficiently.
•
Assist in inventory control by utilizing warehouse management systems
•
Perform general construction labor as needed
•
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area to promote safety and efficiency.
•
Deliver material to jobsites on Long Island and within the 5 boroughs
•
Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while operating equipment and handling materials.
•
Conduct routine inspections of equipment and report any maintenance needs.
•
General Work hours are 7am-3pm. Some days might require early start time, as early as 4am.
Requirements
•
Previous experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts or cherry pickers is preferred.
•
Familiarity with warehouse management
•
Knowledge of general construction tasks
•
Clean Drivers License
•
Ability to lift heavy loads and perform physically demanding tasks throughout the shift.
•
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
•
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
•
Willingness to learn new skills related to warehouse operations and equipment handling.
