General Laborer

JOB DESCRIPTION

Must be reliable and dependable. Laborer/Material Sorter

Hours: 7:00 am – 5:00 pm; M-Thurs./Fridays 7:00 am - 4:00 pm

This position is responsible for sorting construction and demolition materials from a conveyor belt. Cleanup and other duties as required. Must wear required PPE provided(hard hat, safety vest, gloves and glasses). Work efficiently and in a safe manner.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

· Sorting C&D materials into proper bin.

· May require shoveling, sweeping and other cleanup activities when plant is not in operation.

· Assists other team members as needed to maintain and minimize downtime and performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

· Participates in any additional safety training programs.

· Follow and support all company policies and procedures, including attendance.

· Act in accordance with all company policies and procedures.

· Follows and supports safety and OSHA regulations and requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

· High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred, not required.

· Ability to stand for 8-10 hours in cold or hot environment.

· Adheres to work schedule, completes assigned duties in an efficient manner and follows company’s safety standards.

· May work overtime based on business demands.
