The Desoto Group and Desoto Line Services is a rapidly growing, full-service EPC firm serving U.S. utilities and other customers. Desoto specializes in electrical construction, gas construction, site access, vegetation management, engineering, and incident and storm response. Desoto offers a wide array of construction services for the gas utility industry, including the installation, replacement, and maintenance of plastic and steel mains and service lines, meter settings, and regulator stations. The Gas General Foreman oversees multiple crews to complete daily tasks related to the completion of natural gas distribution system projects. This includes installing, replacing, and maintenance of plastic and steel facilities, as well as meter and regulator settings, and restoration of soft and hard surfaces. The position oversees crew safety and productivity, installation, pressure testing, and decommissioning of both mainline and service line gas pipe and customer settings. The position completes routine safety and quality inspections and documentation. This position is responsible for work preparation, customer experience, coaching, and performance of the work in their area of responsibility.
· Oversee and coordinate crew and subcontractor work to install natural gas pipelines and facilities
· Obtain all necessary licenses, permits, and materials for each job
· Ensure all work is completed on-time according to standards, policies, and procedures
· Coordinate and delegate daily work assignments to crews
· Verify all utility locates have been completed
· Verify site prep and site access of daily work assignments prior to crew dispatching
· Ensure all paperwork is completed in a timely manner
· Validate correctness of employee timesheets and approve on timely basis
· Confirm proper restoration of each job is completed
· Hire crew members, in coordination with regional Superintendent
· Remain in constant communication with client regarding progress, quality, and issue resolution
· Ability to interpret plan sets and maps
· Proficient operation of smart devices (phone, tablet, laptop)
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
· Strong understanding of all industry applicable rules, regulations, and requirements
· Ability to work outdoors in densely populated and remote areas
· Work while standing or sitting for several hours at a time
· Operate or safely work around heavy equipment and machinery
· Strong work ethic and ability to effectively lead teams of diverse individuals

Salary: $90,000+ per year, negotiable upon skill set, merit, and experience
