Gas Engineering is focused on ensuring the safe and reliable flow of natural gas to our customers. Gas Engineering aids in the operations, maintenance, construction, and planning for $21 billion in gas assets that transport, store, compress, regulate, measure, and deliver gas to 4.6 million customers. The Compliance department serves Gas Engineering and Operations by overseeing compliance with our standards and policy requirements and responds to requests for information from internal and external parties.
Using an established data response management process, the Gas Operations Support team (GOST) collaboratively prepares responses to internal and external data requests for Gas Engineering and Operations information through detailed research, analysis, and fact verification methodology, utilizing business and legal experts as necessary.

This position provides a unique opportunity to work with all areas of Gas Operations and Engineering as well as Law, Customer Relations, and other PG&E lines of business (i.e. Electric Operations), as needed.
Position duties (may include but are not limited to)-
Assists in the coordination and development of data responses.
Ability to communicate with internal and external colleagues on compliance issues and processes.
Regularly conducts data analysis to ensure response timeliness.
Demonstrates full understanding of regulatory policy and compliance concepts.
Develops and presents alternatives and strategies for responding to requests from various internal/external sources for information (including interpretation, clarification, background, analysis, and recommendations).
Must adhere to implementation of typical/standard/common corrective actions regarding projects within Gas Operations.
Monitors, documents, and presents specifications, analysis results, and recommendations.
This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. The assigned work location will be within the PG&E Service Territory (San Ramon).
PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.
Bay Area Minimum: $87,000
Bay Area Maximum: $131,000
This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs.
Bachelor’s (BA/BS) degree or equivalent experience
Three (3) years of related experience
Bachelor’s (BA/BS) degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, Political Science, or a related discipline with a strong analytical component
Experience with regulatory and/or customer service issues related to gas operations
Basic knowledge and understanding of issues related to gas distribution, transmission and storage, and gas operations
Basic knowledge and understanding of PG&E’s gas business operations, generation, procurement, gas transmission, distribution, storage, and case processes
Basic knowledge and understanding of federal, state, and local government, political, and regulatory processes and issues
Proficient computer skills (i.e., Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, Outlook and Adobe Pro) and experience with information systems
Experience in research, writing, and analyzing information
