The Gas Bar Manager will be responsible for the overall operation of the Gas Bar department to improve service, program execution and company profitability. This includes scheduling, appraisals, budgeting and attainment of financial results. Other responsibilities include the overall management of image, standards, implementation and adherence to company programs, policies and procedures as well as human resources related activities.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Provide leadership to employees in the Gas Bar to ensure these areas are being operated to company expectations.
•Provide leadership and direction in accordance with company policies, procedures, programs, merchandising standards and overall expectations.
•Provide feedback to Operations Manager regarding recommendations for continued improvement of operations. Develop and administer action plans to achieve desired results of business plan.
•Provide leadership and direction in the development and achievement of financial results and store budget objectives in the area of sales, margins, expenses, profits, and EHP.
•Maintain confidentiality regarding pricing, financial and marketing strategies and Human Resources related information.
•Make certain the store adheres to government regulations in the area of labeling, sanitation and food safety.
•Maintain customer service standards by tracking, monitoring and follow-up of customer comments and comments and complaints in a timely efficient manner.
•Liaison within the community as a public relations representative for the company.
•Provide leadership in the areas of employee relations, hiring, training, development, performance management, discipline, recognition, termination, security, administration of policy and procedures and WCB claims.
•Coach, mentor and develop Team Members, including overseeing onboarding and providing career development planning and opportunities.
•Perform the year-end performance reviews and development action plans.
Provide leadership in the areas of Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) including participate in OH&S activities, ensuring employees are knowledgeable about and comply with OH&S policies, procedures and legislation, assist in identifying unhealthy, unsafe situations and ensure corrective action is taken.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Three years’ retail supervisory experience, with a proven performance track record.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
•Two years’ retail management experience.
•Business-related education.
•Experience managing business initiatives including analysis of financial results.
