Furniture Mover

Qualifications of Furniture Moving Technician:

All personnel on site shall have completed the Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) approved 10-hour construction safety training before start of work.

Furniture Moving Technician shall have technical training and demonstrable track records of working experience in the moving of furniture safely, expeditiously, with carefully planned reduction of any related injury to self and not damaging/equipment/other. Contractor’s personnel shall be capable of the following: (1) moving furniture and other outside of room where construction is being performed nightly and then replacing in exact position after work is completed (2) assuring move is performed safely, reliably and acceptable for its intended purpose, and (3) identifying potential safety problems, environmental hazards or other issues to supervisor immediately.

The daily expectation is based on 8 hour days effective immediately through year end on 2nd shift (4pm to midnight). Rate is calculated based on Labor hour/Fringe rate and a 1.5 differential for 2nd shift. We are offering a $500 safety performance bonus at the end of the contract. The job is located on site at the Philadelphia Veterans Affairs Medical Center, known as Michael Crescenz Building at 3900 Woodland Ave, Philadelphia, PA, 19104.
