Job Title: Fuel Services Technician - RBS
This role will be filled as Fleet Fuel Service Tech 3/C, 2/C or 1/C (Nucl), depending on the candidate’s experience.
Performs reactor BWR and PWR disassembly/reassembly, dry fuel storage, and fuel handling activities, irradiated component handling and maintenance associated with equipment/tooling for the aforementioned activities.
- Performs reactor disassembly and reassembly activities.
- Performs New Fuel Inspection activities for both BWR and PWR.
- Assist in Fuel Handling Equipment troubleshoot, and repair as needed.
- Performs dry fuel storage activities.
- Performs pre and post outage activities related to the outage refuel path.
- Operates fuel handling equipment in the reactor and fuel handling buildings to support fuel movements and irradiated component handling.
- Performs preventative and corrective maintenance on reactor disassembly/reassembly, fuel handling, and dry fuel storage equipment/tooling.
- Performs technical reviews of procedures and other plant documents.
- Supports dry fuel and refueling (pre-outage, outage, and post outage) activities across the fleet approximately 25% - 50% of the year.
- Material Handling and Rigging, including operation of cranes and associated plant equipment (ie, Fork Trucks, Flat Beds, etc)
Related work experience or military training with a High School Diploma or GED.
Previous qualification with reactor disassembly/reassembly path, dry fuel storage, or fuel handling.
Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position
- Must possess a strong technical conscience in Refueling Services and Dry Fuel Storage, with a focus on Maintenance Fundamentals.
- Must possess leadership qualities to promote team effectiveness and proficiency in the field with Entergy stakeholders and contractor personnel.
- Must be knowledgeable in Nuclear power plant maintenance to include: rigging and material handling, electrical terminations, and torquing.
- Must have the ability to read prints, verbal and written comprehension, and the ability to troubleshoot and then repair fuel services equipment.
- Must be physically capable to ascend and descend ladders into and out of the refuel cavity to support reactor disassembly/reassembly.
- Must be able to travel to other sites approximately 25% - 50%.

Previous refuel path, dry fuel storage, or fuel handling qualifications from another utility, vendor, or military.
