Abbey Carpet Co. Inc. is growing its team and adding several new positions for Franchise Development. The Franchise Development Director is responsible for attracting new flooring program franchisees while serving the current franchise relationships simultaneously. This role has a dual function of both protecting the current foundation while fostering new relationships. This position is compensated as a base plus commissions structure. Commissions are not limited and compensation is expected to be $100k plus.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Develop and cultivate franchise relationships, promoting our company’s services and values, by utilizing sales techniques that will promote a positive franchise environment and value. Maintain a relationship with franchisees from inception forward, partnering with the membership support team for exceptional service.
•Speak professionally and courteously at all times when representing the company with any individual or organization.
•Understand the flooring industry, its products, competitive nature, best practices, and issues to best support mastery of the industry and the ability to partner with potential franchisees to grow their market share and business.
•Work Remotely, meeting all needed requirements to support the technology and security needs with remote work.
•Travel to potential new and existing franchisees as needed to develop strong relationships and solidify partnerships at or above the established expectations.
•Present the franchise opportunity to prospective franchisees, answering questions and consistently assessing the opportunity against proper fit for the solution.
•Maintain an accurate log of lead and franchisee interaction using the established tools in place.
•Partner with the membership support team to verify each franchisee receives the exceptional care and services needed to protect the brand and encourage repeat and referral business.
•Maintain confidentiality of financial and other sensitive company information.
•Proficient in product knowledge and franchise standards.
•Always present a clean and professional appearance with business attire while representing the company.
•Attend all assigned meetings.
•Follow all company policies and procedures.
•Other duties as assigned.
Essential Qualifications:
•Flooring product sales/knowledge required.
•Ability to speak effectively and respectfully before groups of prospects, franchisees, or employees of the organization.
•Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where standards typically exist.
•Proficient with Industry Specific Software, Microsoft Office Suite, and internet functions.
•Communication skills, interpersonal skills, and basic math skills required.
•Must be able to work a flexible schedule to support the varied needs of serving a retail community with their growth needs.
•Travel anticipated at 50+% to support consistent growth and franchisee maintenance.
