The Fusion Center Fiber Network Operations Service Delivery Leader is tasked with overseeing the daily functions of the Fiber Network Operations Center, ensuring reliable monitoring, maintenance, and restoration of the organization’s fiber optic infrastructure. This role includes coaching and leading a shared team of NOC technicians, managing incident responses, escalations, and adhering to service-level agreements (SLAs) and performance targets. Elevating team capabilities to support expanding fiber services and creating detailed knowledge guides for NOC use are key responsibilities.
With skills in analyzing fiber light levels, interpreting OTDR and packet capture data, thriving on technical challenges, and experience with products from Nokia, Ciena, Fujitsu, and Cisco—alongside a deep understanding of optical, transport, and MPLS networking—you might be an ideal fit for our team. The position reports directly to the IT Technology Manager at the Fusion Center Miami Operations Center (FCM).
You'll work across IT and OT business areas, management, project managers, and Power Delivery to ensure projects are delivered and transitioned to the Fusion Center Network Operations in full operational status for maintenance. Acting as an escalation point for issues in our 24/7/365 environment, you'll maintain system availability and performance.
This leader oversees our circuit inventory, Nokia NSP, OSPInsight, and all IOC fiber optic processes, ensuring documentation accuracy and infrastructure security. Effective communication and support staff training are crucial. Specialized expertise to interpret IT/OT challenges and recommend best practices for resolving complex problems, fiber cuts, and outages, while coordinating with vendors and carriers, is essential. Proficiency in Cisco, Arista, and fiber technologies is necessary for supporting an enterprise network.
This position establishes strategy, develops business plans, and oversees and leads in the design, development and implementation of technology solutions to meet business needs. Leaders in this role provide leadership and oversight to manage performance and results in one or more Information Technology (IT) disciplines. Individuals will be accountable for the reliability, performance, security, and continuity of IT systems and supported business processes.
