Job purpose

•

Operate and assist in various functions of the yard in accordance with facility policies and procedures.

•

Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Work involves lifting of materials and product up to

30 pounds. Operation requires the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses, work boots, and hardhats. Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted.

Duties and responsibilities

•

Demonstrates good leadership characteristics, and the ability to lead small groups to complete appropriate inspections or tests of OCTG in a timely manner, under the supervision of management.

•

The operator may only operate machinery he/she has been trained and authorized to.

•

Perform preventative maintenance on machinery assigned to, prior to operations.

•

Complete accurate, detailed, and quality reports in a timely manner as applicable per operation, including: o Preventative maintenance reports o Production reports o Inspection/Test reports o Shipping/Receiving & Pipe movement reports

•

Ensure all company policies and procedures surrounding the following are met: o Heath, Safety, & Environmental o Quality Manual & Standard Operating Procedures o Shipping & Receiving

•

Report any issues to the department supervisor.

•

Perform other tasks and duties as may be assigned.

Qualifications & Required Skills

•

Minimum 1-3 years of experience with machinery and processing applicable to OCTG, or related field

•

Knowledge of the manufacturing processes, procedures, and machinery.

•

Manual dexterity required for operating, machinery, hand tools and hand-held technical devices.

•

Read and write in English or Spanish

•

General Math Skills.

•

Must be in good physical condition able to work outdoors, for extended hours on his/her feet

•

Employee must be punctual, dependable, good attitude, and dedicated to Safety.

•

Ability to lift up to 30 pounds required.

•

Employee must be able to work with a flexible or rotating schedule which may require over-time when needed.

•

Employee must be able to respond to call outs when required.

Education

•

High School Diploma preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
