We are seeking an experienced Forklift Driver to join our team at our Platteville, WI. location. The Forklift Driver reports to the Shift Supervisor, and must comply with all Skyway Precision policies, work rules, disciplinary actions, performance reviews and skill development. The Forklift Driver is responsible for the movement of all products, in an orderly fashion. This role requires the ability to work efficiently, with or without direct supervision.

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Responsible for loading and unloading all trucks.

- Responsible for moving all products (raw, in process, finished) to any destination within the plant.

- Responsible for keeping all material storage areas of Skyway Precision, Inc. in a clean and orderly fashion. Follow procedures and instructions. This includes the yard and outside storage areas.

- Responsible for weight counting all incoming and outgoing products.

- Responsible for assisting in the packaging of product being shipped.

- Responsible for operating the fork trucks in a safe and competent manner, as well as, following all Skyway safety guidelines.

- Responsible for reporting malfunctions or faulty fork trucks to your supervisor.

- Responsible for verifying that every tractor trailer has its wheels chocked prior to loading and or unloading.

- Support Compliance with Skyway Precision, Inc.’s Quality policies and procedures (IATF16949 & ISO 14001).

- Follow general safety rules, procedures and regulations.

- Perform special assignments as delegated.

EDUCATION/WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

High School Diploma or equivalent

Minimum of 1 year in a Shipping & Receiving Position

Basic Computer Skills

Good written and interpersonal communication skills

Time management

Detail oriented and organized

Able to operate forklift safely and effectively
