Rodda Electric Inc. (REI) is a Commercial Electrical Contractor with an office in Brentwood, California. We work throughout the Greater Bay Area, Central Valley, and Sacramento Region. We are currently seeking Foremen with at least 5+ years of experience. REI prides itself in delivering top quality work and are looking for experienced professionals who uphold our values.

Description of Job Duties:

•

Manages electrical projects including installation, repair, and inspection.

•

Ensures work is done is a safe and timely manner and meets quality standards.

•

Prepare and lay out electrical systems, including wiring diagrams, conduit and panel locations.

•

Making sure the safety standards and procedures are followed and that safety equipment, materials, and tools are available.

•

Diagnose electrical issues and troubleshooting problems.

•

Installs or helps install electrical components.

•

Keeps work area clean.

•

Connects wiring and equipment as per code and job specification.

•

Operates equipment only if trained and certified to operate. (Note: Powder activated tools, JLG lifts and other operations that may require certification and training before operating).

•

Sets up and operates tools such as hydraulic benders, power threaders, power pullers and cable vacuum systems.

•

Be able to read blueprints and electrical drawings and install as specified.

•

Knowledge of the National Electric Codes

•

Verify dimensions, alignments and clearances per drawings or plans.

•

Secure and lock up equipment after use.

•

Performs tasks in a professional manner.

•

Supervise electricians, assigning tasks, and monitoring their performance.

•

Handle customer relations

•

Trains and mentors electricians and trainees in safety protocols and job skills.

Physical Requirements:

•

Climbing ladders and steep stairs

•

Crawling, standing, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, sitting, reaching

•

Able to routinely lift heavy objects in excess of 50 pounds and pushing and pulling of objects is required

•

Repetitive use of arms, hands and fingers

•

Wearing all personal protective equipment such as hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, safety vests, etc. at all times

•

Physical work is a primary part (more than 70%) of the job

•

Be willing to travel within 100 miles from Brentwood CA

•

Job requires working in all elements, depending on job location, time of year, heat, cold, rain, snow

•

Able to work 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week, and overtime as required and night shifts

•

Must be proficient in all types of electrical installations and wiring methods

Preferred Certifications:

•

Journeyman Certification

•

Electrical School Certification

•

OSHA 10 or 30 Certification

•

Lift Certifications

•

ET Card

Additional Requirements:

•

Must know the National Electrical Codes

•

Valid driver's license and clean DMV record

•

Must pass drug and alcohol pre-screening test
