Job Summary: Responsible for assisting the Superintendent(s) with their primary duties as it relates to daily operations, housekeeping, managing materials, enforcing safety, and coordinating tasks according to the look-ahead schedule. This hybrid role will act as a link between workers and the Superintendent(s) and will also include manual labor as needed by the jobsite.
Responsibilities
•Support duties of superintendent(s) as requested throughout project
•Oversee, manage, and mentor craft workers
•Coordinate jobsite logistics
•Maintain relationships with other trades and main project team
•Support the “injury-free” environment and enforce the safety program
•Support “zero-defects” craftsmanship and enforce the quality control program
•Monitor production and quality of crews
•Read and understand construction drawings and perform layout
•Coordinate and track the work of trades to support the look-ahead schedule
•Assist in the creation of schedules
•Installation of temporary facilities and safety systems (fencing, walkways, rails, ladders, etc.) to support a safe and secure environment
•Enforcement and assistance with housekeeping – daily cleanup of trash, storage areas, etc.
•Verify timesheets and T&M tickets for on-site labor
Minimum Qualifications
•10+ years of general experience with all typical trades involved in commercial construction (i.e. sitework, concrete, drywall, finishes, MEPF, etc.)
•OSHA 10 and/or OSHA 30 certified
•Bilingual – English / Spanish
Working Conditions:
•Climbing, standing, sitting, walking, reaching, bending, balancing, squatting and kneeling for prolonged periods at a time
•Ability to lift/push/pull up to and not limited to 100lbs.
•Ability to work within an indoor/outdoor job site environment with heights, exposure to hot or cold weather, loud noises, dust and fumes
•Must be willing to work non-traditional hours to meet project needs
•All required PPE (Personnel Protective Equipment) Must be worn at all times (safety vest, protective eye-wear, hearing protection, gloves, sleeves as needed, hard hat, face shield, & approved footwear).
