As our Forecast Solutions Analyst I, you will support pricing, structuring, portfolio management, and profitability analysis for ENGIE Resources’ retail electricity portfolio. In this role, you will apply advanced analytics, mathematical models, and programming techniques to identify opportunities, recommend solutions, and deliver actionable insights that drive decision-making across the Sales, Pricing, and Data Analytics teams. This position is based in Houston, TX, and reports to the Senior Analyst, Pricing and Load Management.
- Work closely with Sales, Load Analytics, and other internal groups to structure, cost, and price retail power opportunities utilizing proprietary tools and applications
- Review, confirm, and book executed retail power contracts in proprietary deal capture system
- Understanding Capacity, Transmission, and all other cost components of full-requirements retail electricity products
- Research complex business problems and identify opportunities to design, develop, and propose actionable solutions in support of pricing, portfolio management and margin analysis activities
- Support the development and enhancement of models and system platforms to support pricing and portfolio management activities
- Research and produce ad-hoc analysis on market fundamentals, risk exposure, customer load characteristics, various cost components and regulatory issues to enhance competitiveness, optimize risk exposure and improve the profitability of the retail portfolio
- Operate as a team member with all employees of ENGIE North America staff
- You hold a Bachelor's degree with a major in Business, Economics, Engineering, Accounting, Mathematics, or Computer Science. In lieu of a degree, we will accept five (5) years of relevant professional experience that demonstrates equivalent knowledge and capabilities
- A minimum of two (2) years of Retail power industry experience
- You are a logical thinker with strong problem-solving and communication skills, able to clearly present complex analysis to diverse audiences, including senior leadership
- You have strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills, with a high level of attention to detail and the ability to perform under pressure
- You are knowledgeable in energy market fundamentals, including customer usage patterns and pricing methodologies
- You have hands-on experience extracting, transforming, and managing large datasets using tools such as VBA, SQL, and Microsoft Power BI
- You are proficient in Microsoft Excel and can build advanced models and reports to support business decisions
- You have the flexibility to travel on short notice and act as backup during emergency situations when needed
- This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy working three (3) days in-office and two (2) days remote
- Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
Salary Range: $55,300 – $84,775 USD annually
This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.
