Floor Supervisor

Job Summary: The Floor Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all aspects of a company's Receiving, Order entry & shipping operations. They would perform functions on incoming orders necessary to get them into processing. They would supervise and train other employees within the department to ensure that they are performing their duties properly.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

- Supervise division employees.

- Provide customer service as required.

- Inspect incoming orders and paperwork and note any discrepancies.

- Identify customer order information and forward paperwork to order entry.

- Obtain shop traveler from order entry and locate proper order.

- Perform part identification procedures by prescribed company methods.

- Distribute orders to proper staging area for processing.

- Forklift duties include: maintaining a forklift certification, moving parts, and assisting Shipping with loading and unloading customer trucks or vehicles.

- Maintains a clean work area.

- Preform training functions as needed.

- Ensures security and proper use of company equipment, tooling, and supplies.

- Adheres to all safety standards and procedures, and maintains an ongoing awareness of safety for self and others in assigned work areas.

- Participates in company sponsored training as required.

- Performs other related duties, including but not limited to Shipping & Order entry tasks.

Qualifications:

- Friendly and works well with others.

- Organized and efficient.

- Some supervisor experience.

- Ability to follow directions and work efficiently.

- Ability to do basic counting and measurements.

- Ability to operate computer & digital camera functions.

Working Conditions: Office and factory environment, may encounter dirt, dust, oil, processing chemicals and varying temperatures. Summer temperatures could be extremely hot, over 100 degrees. Winter temperatures are cool.

Physical Requirements:

- Able to lift up to 50 pounds.

- Climbing stairs.

- Considerable amount of walking, standing, bending, and reaching.

Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30am-5pm (30 minute lunch required).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
