Summary
This position provides support with company vehicle retirements/auctions, parts ordering for aerial equipment maintenance, logistics/warehouse operations, and administrative support for the Oncor Fleet Management organization.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Aerial Equipment Maintenance Support
•
Identify and order repair parts from aerial device manufacturers as needed (order $10-15K a month in parts purchases), ensuring that all necessary components are on hand to support the timely need for parts used by hydraulic field mechanics and third-party dialectic testing inspection vendors. Update inventory levels, monitor vendor pricing, and plan for future parts needs.
•
Conduct thorough follow-ups on warranty reimbursements for parts that qualify under warranty policies. Gather required documentation, submit claims promptly, and ensure payment from parts vendors is received promptly.
Vehicle/Off-Highway Equipment Disposal
•
Monitor and track the status of used aerial devices and passenger vehicles turned in (350+ assets a year, $3.5M + a year in auction proceeds) at the end of lease agreements, vehicle life cycle, or sold back through a buy-back program. Attend monthly in-person auctions to ensure smooth transition of company assets and that process adheres to department and company policies.

Stay up to date with market trends in the used car market; leverage data analytics to drive opportunities to obtain the best return possible on Oncor’s retiring vehicle fleet and off-highway equipment assets.
Logistics & Warehouse Operations
•
Load and unload LTL freight (e.g., buckets) and parcels for equipment parts. Manage storage for passenger vehicles and equipment designated for auction and/or retained by the claims department.
•
Maintain a clean and safe warehouse and parking lot storage area to ensure the safety of employees entering these areas and the proper storage of parts. Utilize forklifts and overhead cranes to ensure the safe and efficient handling of materials.
Administrative
•
Process purchase card transactions related to parts invoices, ensuring all information is accurate and complete. Reconcile monthly purchasing card reports to track expenditures and identify any discrepancies and opportunities for savings.

Complete vehicles transfer requests from one location to another, ensuring accurate management approvals are obtained before transfer execution.
Skills
•
General business knowledge and excellent written and oral communication with internal and external stakeholders

General knowledge of logistics and warehouse operations related to inventory management, shipping/receiving, parts ordering, and safety compliance
•
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel (e.g., Pivot Tables) capabilities, working knowledge of SharePoint

Education And Experience
•
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent is required
•
Bachelor’s degree is encouraged to apply
•
Experience operating a forklift with up to a 10,000-pound lifting capacity; forklift operator certificate is required
•
Ability to lift and move material up to 100 lbs. with or without accommodations is required
•
3-5 years of experience either in the electric utility, hydraulic equipment, or automotive parts industry is encouraged to apply
Measures of Success
•
Manage the vehicle disposition process by ensuring financial accuracy, timely recording of retired assets, and prompt receipt of funds from the sales of retired assets at an auction.
•
Accurate and timely completion of vehicle transfer requests from field locations.
•
Parts are ordered and on hand when needed by the field service group and other groups.
•
Communicate with appropriate management and/or stakeholders on parts and/or vendor performance concerns.
•
Effectively track warranty dollars and ensure the amounts are collected and reported.
•
All used aerial devices are tagged and accounted for in their proper program.
•
Process all invoices accurately and on time for management approval.
