Position: Fire Suppression Technician (Kamloops, British Columbia)
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in Kidde Fire Suppression Systems or ANSUL Fire Suppression Systems.
Ward’s Hydraulic Services Ltd. has been proudly serving clients in Alberta and British Columbia for over 20 years. Our experienced team provides a wide range of services, including the installation, maintenance, and repair of fire protection systems, hydraulic systems, and heavy equipment parts.
Job Summary:
We are looking for motivated Fire Suppression Technicians to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, inspecting, maintaining, and troubleshooting fire suppression on off-road mining and forestry equipment such as dozers, graders, haul trucks, and shovels.
Key Responsibilities:
•Perform preventive maintenance on off-road fire suppression systems
•Install off-road fire suppression systems
•Repair, install, recharge, and troubleshoot fire suppression systems
•Conduct discharge investigations and prepare report as per Ward’s quality management system
•Accurately complete and submit required documentation, including PM check sheets, work reports, LEMs, and time sheets
Qualifications & Requirements:
•Strong mechanical aptitude
•Proficient with hand tools
•Electrical troubleshooting skills are an asset
•Must be physically capable of climbing, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working in various conditions
•Ability to perform duties safely and professionally
•Valid driver’s license with a clean abstract
•Work authorization required
•Willingness to undergo pre-employment drug and alcohol testing, and random testing throughout employment

•Ansul Fire Suppression System: 3 years (desired)

Additional pay:
•Overtime pay – when required by client
· The wage rate will be determined based on the candidate’s qualifications, relevant experience, and demonstrated skill level.
