Jorgensen Company is looking for a hard-working, hands-on individual that wants to learn a trade in the Fire Protection industry located in the greater Northern California region. The right candidate will either possess a Fire Extinguisher Certificate of Registration or be trained in how to inspect and repair portable fire extinguishers. You will also be trained in various aspects of our business.
· Self-starter, fast learner, highly motivated with high energy
· Ability to work independently and perform quality work with minimal supervision
· Must possess the ability to obtain security clearance and pass pre-employment testing based on our Drug Free Workplace Policy
· Must drive with the utmost courtesy and respect for others
· Possess a Fire Extinguisher Certificate of Registration Type 1 and 2
· At least 1 year experience as a Fire Extinguisher Technician
· Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent
· A valid California Driver’s license and DMV record that is acceptable to our insurance company
· M-F, 8-hour shifts (some exceptions may apply)
The goal for the right candidate will be to possess a Fire Extinguisher Certificate of Registration Type 1 and 2. If you do not currently possess a C of R we will train you. After your paid training you will be required to take and pass the Office of the State Fire Marshall test for Fire Extinguisher Service in accordance with California Health and safety Code and Regulations Title 19 within 6 months from the start date of employment. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Must also be able to drive, sit, stand, walk, kneel, reach, and climb stairs, for extended periods of time while performing tasks. Also need to be able to work in various conditions, including wet, dry, and outdoor environments.
