Responsibilities:
The following responsibilities may include some or all of the following or any other tasks assigned
directly or indirectly by the Fire Assay Supervisor.
- Sample weighing
- Fluxing samples
- Fusing samples
- Cupellation
- Picking beads and labeling test tubes
- Assist in ensuring turnaround time meets clients and Presidents requirements of 5 days from
- Ensure all analysis is produced with high quality
- Use LIMS
- Use support site to weigh samples, change status’ and make lab jobs
- Ensure maintenance is being carried out as required and all logs are being maintained as shown
- Maintain departmental housekeeping on a per shift basis
- Comply with ALL safety procedures including MSDS review for all chemicals used
- Safety oriented with all aspects of the job
- Ensure that QOP Fire Assay and the Pb Control Program is followed
