Summary
As a Fire Alarm Installation Lead/Superintendent, you will oversee the installation and maintenance of fire alarm systems, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and standards. This position reports to the Project Manager. Compensation will be based on experience and qualifications.
Responsibilities
•
Installs, tests, and repairs fire alarm systems
•
Runs wiring and circuits, installs hardware, and attaches electrical wires
•
Inspects and tests systems, batteries, and electrical wiring; making adjustments and repairs as required
•
Replaces malfunctioning hardware when necessary
•
Ensures systems comply with electrical and fire codes
•
Explains and demonstrates system functionality and operation to end users
•
Performs other related duties as necessary
Qualifications
•
Minimum of 5 years of experience in fire alarm system installations
•
Extensive knowledge of fire alarm systems and installation
•
Ability to read installation and system manuals
•
Ability to read blueprints and building plans
•
Extensive knowledge of electrical and fire codes
•
Ability to use hand and power tools
•
Ability to work independently
Physical Requirements:
•
Prolonged periods of standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders
•
Physically able to install system hardware and wiring
•
Must be able to lift a minimum of 35 pounds
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 - $40.00 per hour
