Fire Alarm Inspector

Job Summary:
As a Fire Alarm Inspector, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the safety and functionality of electronic life safety systems in commercial and industrial environments. With a focus on inspections, compliance, and exceptional customer service, your contributions will directly support ECC’s commitment to innovation and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
•Perform thorough inspections and preventative maintenance on fire protection and life safety systems.
•Ensure all systems and devices (alarm panels, sirens, horns, strobes, etc.) comply with manufacturer specifications and fire codes.
•Diagnose, test, and repair fire alarm systems to ensure proper functionality.
•Provide detailed and organized technical support and communication to clients.
•Complete and submit all required paperwork to internal departments or regulatory agencies promptly and accurately.
•Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and colleagues, fostering trust and respect.
•Stay current on relevant codes, regulations, and certifications to ensure compliance.
•Support additional tasks or special projects as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
•High school diploma or GED required.
•Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
•Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
•Must hold or be willing to obtain required certifications, including a Nebraska Inspector’s License and NICET certifications, as per state regulations.
•Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and comfortable with web-based applications.
•Strong knowledge of fire alarm and electrical codes for inspection and installation.
•Basic math skills, including algebra and geometry.
•Excellent multitasking, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
•Willingness to travel as needed for projects.

Experience Required:
•Minimum 2 years of fire alarm experience
Licenses/Certifications:
•Nebraska Inspector’s License (Required)
