Starting at $17/hr based on experience

With pay raise opportunities at 6 months and 12 months of employment!

Work Schedule: Schedules will vary based on workload

1st Shift: Monday-Thursday: 5:30am - 3:00pm & Friday: 5:30am - Noon

What you will do:

The Towline Sander is responsible for sanding wooden articles in addition to loading and unloading the towline.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

•

Use different grits of sandpaper to hand sand smooth surface of wooden articles prior to finishing and between finish coats.

•

Load continuously moving towline by hanging wooden articles on line using proper racks and/or hooks.

•

Unload continuously moving towline placing completed wooden articles onto carts.

•

Maintain quality standards on all products.

•

Work efficiently while paying attention to detail.

•

Keep the work area clean and organized.

•

Follow all safety rules and contribute to a safe work environment.

•

Participate and contribute to a “Team” environment.

•

Other duties as assigned.

What you need:

•

No required education or job experience!

•

Ability to read measurement tools such as a tape measure.

•

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

•

Ability to meet quality standards - strong attention to detail and quality.

•

Stand for extended periods of time.

•

Moving, bending, standing, kneeling, lifting and carrying material weighing up to 50 pounds.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to perform the essential functions of the position including, but not be limited to the following:

•

Sit, walk, and reach with hands and arms.

•

Stand for extended periods of time.

•

Moving, bending, standing, kneeling, lifting and carrying material weighing up to 50 pounds.

•

Pushing/pulling, grasping/squeezing, pinching, fine motor dexterity.

•

Exposure to high noise levels and requires wearing hearing protection in designated areas.

•

Exposure to plant environment to include moving parts, fumes, dust. Safety glasses to be worn at all times.

•

Endure heat and cold conditions in the plant.
