Finishing Crew Member III Final Inspection
Wage Range: $21.25 to $21.75 after probationary period ends.
Day shift: 7am to 5pm / Monday - Friday (Occasional weekends/Holiday/OT is possible)
Night shift: 9 pm to 7am / Sunday-Thursday (Occasional weekends/Holiday/OT is possible)
Prior inspection/QC experience
Tow motor and crane experience
Must have reliable transportation
Duties
•Verifies all bars in order comply with customer requirements for length, diameter (or widths), and surface finish
•Identifies alloy grade using Niton gun. Verifies grade with grade listed on traveler
•Visually inspects bars for compliance with Quality Workmanship Standards. QS-038
•Cleans bars with Simple Green, CLR or equivalent.
•Properly marks individual identification on each bar using a Hilti gun, Pannier Dot Peen Marker, labels, paint marker, etc.
•Properly records all information on the Final Dimensional Report Form
•Applies rust inhibitor and/or paints ends as required by traveler
•Bundles bars per requirements on traveler and Work Instructions. Identifies bundles and bundle weights on Final Dimensional Report form
•Completes and attaches paper labels to bundles as required
•Assists shipper as required
•Tools/equipment used: Pi tape, measuring tape, micrometers, profilometer, banding equipment and supplies, Niton gun, marking equipment including Hilti gun and Pannier Dot Peen marker, labels, rust inhibitor, paint, paint marker, scale, no-touch tools, crane, tow motor
•Ability to read and understand various documents related to the production process
•Ability to use and maintain tooling, equipment, and materials related to the production process.
•Ability to accurately record data in both manual and computer formats.
•Attend required training sessions and obtain certification for the following in compliance with safety and operational requirements: Overhead Crane Operation/Powered Industrial truck operation
•Good interpersonal communication skills; ability to work closely and cooperatively with other team members to achieve production goals in a safe and effective manner
•Willingness to adapt to changing priorities, respond to immediate operational needs
•Maintain proper part IDs
•Compliance with product flow and storage of material
•Compliance with established sequence priorities for material
•In compliance with all applicable work instructions, check sheets, and/or travelers
•Record all data completely and legibly
•Complete all training as directed
•Follow equipment operating parameters
•Complete operator maintenance tasks and report any equipment issues
•Complete all necessary tasks and or change overs to efficiently operate equipment
•Ensure the next shift is set up to run efficiently
•All other duties as assigned
•Ensure personal compliance with safety policies and rules, including PPE requirements
Education:
•High school Diploma or equivalent (Required)
Experience:
•Remote Crane: 1 year (Required)
•Forklift: 1 year (Required)
Shift availability:
•Night Shift or Day Shift (Required)
