About This Job
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled finish blade operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating motor grader during the building and reclamation of utility scale energy projects. This role requires a strong understanding of heavy equipment operation and mechanical knowledge, ensuring that all tasks are performed safely and efficiently.
Duties
•
Operate grader machinery to prepare and maintain project roads, as well as reclaim topsoil following the completion of construction.
•
Perform routine maintenance on grading equipment, including lubrication and inspections.
•
Collaborate with project managers and team members to understand project specifications and requirements.
•
Utilize additional heavy equipment such as bulldozers, motor graders, and excavators.
•
GPS knowledge is a plus.
•
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols while operating machinery.
•
Maintain accurate records of work performed and report any issues or repairs needed on equipment.
Requirements
•
Full time travel position.
•
Proven experience in grader operation or similar heavy equipment operation is preferred.
•
Finish blade experience required.
•
Familiarity with loader operation, bulldoze, backhoe operation, and commercial driving is an asset.
•
Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on equipment.
•
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety practices in the workplace.
•
Ability to work effectively in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
•
Valid driver's license is required; commercial driving experience is a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 45 – 60 per week
