Summary Of Position
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Financial Reporting to lead our financial reporting function within the accounting organization. The successful candidate will oversee the preparation of accurate, timely, and compliant financial statements, ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, and drive reporting strategies that support executive decision-making and investor communications.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities

As a Financial Reporting Director, you will be responsible for:
- Leading the company’s overall financial reporting process, including the preparation and review of monthly, interim (10-Q), and annual financial statements (10-K), footnotes, cash flows, and MD&A disclosures to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with GAAP and SEC regulations, as applicable.
- Setting the strategic direction for the financial reporting team and ensuring alignment with corporate goals and stakeholder expectations.
- Overseeing the implementation and maintenance of effective internal controls over financial reporting to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with SOX and other regulatory requirements.
- Monitoring and evaluating changes in SEC regulations and accounting standards, assessing company-wide impacts, and driving implementation of necessary updates.
- Serving as the primary liaison with external auditors, leading the audit process in collaboration with respective controllers, and ensuring timely resolution of findings.
- Driving process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance reporting accuracy, efficiency, and scalability across the organization.
- Partnering with senior executives and cross-functional teams (finance, legal, operations, tax, investor relations) to address complex accounting and reporting considerations for business transactions and corporate initiatives.
- Supporting investor relations activities, including earnings releases, investor presentations, and other communications with the investment community.
- Leading, developing, and mentoring a high-performing financial reporting team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Preparing and presenting financial reporting updates, accounting matters, and technical guidance to senior management.
- Maintaining and gaining efficiency using external reporting software.
- Must have a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field; a master’s degree in accounting is preferred.
- A CPA certification is required for this position.
- Have 10+ years of progressive accounting and financial reporting experience with significant SEC reporting and leadership experience.- Must have deep knowledge of US GAAP and SEC regulations, with the ability to interpret and apply complex accounting standards.
- Demonstrated success in leading financial reporting teams and managing through complex reporting environments.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and critical thinking skills with the ability to partner effectively with senior leadership and external stakeholders.
- Proven track record of driving process transformation and implementing best practices in financial reporting.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Workday) and financial reporting tools (e.g., DFIN ActiveDisclosure, OneStream) preferred.
- Operates in a professional and/or business casual office environment.
- 8 hours Monday – Friday
- Flexibility to work from home on Fridays.
