About the Role

Based in Paradise, Newfoundland, Canada and reporting to the Chief Financial Officer based at our head office in the UK, the Financial Controller, Americas will play a critical role in managing the finance function for the Americas region.

The incumbent is responsible for all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget, and forecasts preparation, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures.

The Financial Controller’s responsibilities will also include financial risk management, and leading internal compliance, controls and guidelines for preparing transactions that comply with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

The Financial Controller will play an active role in structuring, leading, and motivating the accounting team. They will build a strong, disciplined team that drives excellence in financial reporting, forecasting/budgeting, and analysis.
