The Financial Analyst plays a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and providing analytical support across various departments. Responsibilities include journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial planning, with a strong emphasis on data analysis, forecasting, and cross-functional collaboration to support strategic decision-making.
Key Functions and Responsibilities:
•Follow proper accounting and financial reporting procedures to ensure compliance with company policies and generally accepted accounting standards
•Assist in internal and external audits by maintaining adequate and appropriate supporting documentation
•Perform end-of-month reconciliations and record closing journal entries in a timely manner
•Support daily treasury activities including cash transfers, forecasting, and reconciliation, ensuring all transactions are properly authorized
•Prepare and review monthly cost reports, conduct variance analysis, and highlight areas for operational and financial improvement
•Monitor company expenses for policy compliance, appropriate coding, and budget tracking
•Manage monthly inventory close-out procedures, including material price adjustments, write-offs, and variance resolution
•Develop and support reporting and analytics initiatives, including key performance metrics and continuous process improvements
•Collaborate cross-functionally with teams across the organization to gather data, share financial insights, and implement solutions
•Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret financial data and identify business trends
•Support strategic planning through modeling, forecasting, and financial scenario analysis
Education & Experience:
•Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
•Two or more years of relevant financial analysis or full-cycle accounting experience, ideally within the industrial/construction industry or in public accounting
•Great interpersonal and verbal communication skills
•Sound knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
•Experience with financial and data analysis tools (Viewpoint, SQL, PowerBI, etc., a plus)
•Proficiency in using data analysis tools, statistical software, and/or programming languages
•Superior data management and analysis skills
•Strong time management and organizational skills
•Detail-oriented with a passion for accuracy
•Business acumen with a strong understanding of the industry and the ability to align analysis with organizational goals

•Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally
