Description
Position Summary:
An ILI Field Technician is responsible for assisting in the build, testing, and setup of the ILI tool and support equipment under the direction of the Field Superintendent. Assist and provide support of the field execution and post run reports of the in-line inspection. The position requires extensive travel and reports to the Operations Supervisor.
Responsibilities
Safety & Quality Compliance:•Ensure safety is put first in the execution of all tasks and processes.
•Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and cost savings.
•Accurately complete electronic and/or hardcopy job related documents.
•Maintain all required records and inspections to be in compliance with safety policies.
Project Planning, Building, Execution & Maintenance
•Following documented processes and procedures to build and prepare in-line inspection tools and support equipment.
•Assists in prepping, launching, and receiving in-line inspection tools.
•Safely Drive and Operate a wireline truck for tethered ILI projects.
•Cleans, refurbishes, and maintains in-line inspection tool after the completion of a job.
•Operates forklifts and overhead cranes as required.
•Responsible for the transportation of the in-line inspection tool and equipment to the job site.
•Performs other assigned tasks.
Expense & Timesheets
•Prepare expense reports for them to be reimbursed in a timely manner.
•Manage costs of flights, lodging, and any other traveling expenses to align with Entegra policies.
Requirements
•Pass a pre-employment Drug and Alcohol test and Background Check.
•Class 3 driver’s license with air brake endorsement and clean driving record or ability to obtain Class 3 driver’s license.
•Passport or ability to obtain one.
•Willingness to travel up to 80% of the time within Western Canada. The ability to travel internationally to the USA may be required.
•Field work may require long workdays including early morning start and late evening finish.
•Ability to routinely lift and carry 25kg (50 lbs.) throughout the workday.
•Ability to wear a respirator (this would require being clean shaven as needed).
•Ability to lift 45kg (100 lbs.) waist high multiple times throughout the workday.
•Normally will work in shop and field which can include extreme working conditions: heat, cold, wet, etc.
