Job Title: Field Supervisor
Summary:
The Field Supervisor serves as the key liaison between the company and the construction site, responsible for overseeing all operations from planning and scheduling to quality control and safety management. This role requires strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work under challenging conditions.
Job Description:
•Project Oversight: Manage on-site construction activities for all assigned projects, ensuring work is completed on time and to the highest standards.
•Quality Control: Inspect work performed by the team, ensuring compliance with quality standards, rules, and regulations. Validate adherence of fencing installations to design and specifications.
•Scheduling and Coordination: Plan and schedule work for teams and subcontractors. Regularly monitor progress and conduct status meetings.
•Communication: Act as the primary on-site contact for workers, clients, and subcontractors. Communicate necessary information such as schedule changes or plan modifications.
•Safety Management: Enforce safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
•Training: Provide training and guidance to new team members to ensure consistency in work quality.
•Materials Management: Oversee the delivery and utilization of materials, tools, and equipment to prevent losses or misuse.
•Documentation: Prepare and manage paperwork such as daily logs, progress reports, and time sheets. Oversee the submission of project completion documents.
•Problem-Solving: Identify potential issues or risks and implement solutions promptly.
The ideal candidate should have leadership skills, problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, a deep understanding of construction processes and safety regulations, physical stamina, and comfortability working outdoors in various weather conditions. Experience in fence installation and a valid driver’s license are typically required. Utilizing a tool like ArcSite can greatly assist Field Supervisors in their daily tasks, simplifying progress tracking, professional-grade drawing creation, estimations, and material takeoffs.
