NETA Field Supervisor
Saber Power Services, LLC, (SPS) located in Houston, TX is a nationally recognized full service, EPC, specialty engineering, procurement, construction and testing and commissioning company specializing in complex medium and high voltage electrical infrastructure in North America.
Job Summary
The NETA Field Supervisor oversees and manages field service teams conducting electrical testing, maintenance, and commissioning of power distribution systems and equipment. This role ensures safety compliance, technical quality, and operational efficiency, while also serving as a liaison between field technicians, project managers, and clients. The supervisor plays a critical leadership role in maintaining NETA standards and advancing team technical capabilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
•Supervise and coordinate daily activities of field service technicians.
•Schedule and assign field jobs, ensuring proper allocation of resources and timely project execution.
•Review job scopes and ensure testing procedures align with NETA, NFPA, IEEE, and company standards.
•Conduct or oversee acceptance testing and maintenance testing of electrical equipment, including:
+ Circuit breakers
+ Switchgear
+ Transformers
+ Protective relays
+ Cables and grounding systems
•Prepare and review test reports, including final deliverables to clients.
•Act as a point of contact for field personnel regarding technical or safety issues.
•Train and mentor junior technicians and engineers.
•Participate in customer meetings and provide technical insight or support when needed.
•Ensure compliance with all safety regulations (e.g., OSHA, NFPA 70E).
•Collaborate with project managers to maintain project budgets and schedules.

Qualifications
Education & Certifications:
•Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or related field (preferred).
•Current NETA Certification (Level III or IV required).
•Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
Experience:
•5 years of field experience in electrical testing and commissioning.
•Prior supervisory or team lead experience preferred.
Skills and Abilities
•In-depth knowledge of electrical power systems and test equipment.
•Strong leadership and team management skills.
•Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
•Ability to interpret electrical diagrams, schematics, and specifications.
•Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and test report software.
Working Conditions
•Travel required to various field locations.
•Work involves exposure to electrical hazards, high-voltage equipment, and outdoor environments.
•Occasional night and weekend work depending on project requirements.
