Field Services Technician II

At SPL, we turn science into impact. We’re searching for a dependable Field Technician II to join our team in Reading, PA. In this role, you’ll collect and transport environmental samples that support compliance and decision-making. You’ll follow established procedures, operate field equipment, and represent STL professionally at client sites.

What You’ll Do

- Follow daily schedules provided via mobile routing software;

- Collect, transport, and deliver samples in accordance with SOPs, safety rules, and regulatory requirements;

- Prepare equipment, supplies, and documentation prior to daily routes;

- Enter required data into mobile devices and complete chain of custody documentation;

- Perform sampling activities at client sites on schedule and according to established procedures;

- Monitor vehicles and field equipment, performing routine QA checks and reporting maintenance needs;

- Coordinate with team members to meet all client deadlines efficiently;

- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle and return shared equipment to proper condition;

- Create and update customer notes, site plans, and project comments;

- Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

What Makes You a Great Fit

- High School Diploma or GED required;

- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record;

- Ability to navigate safely to client sites and operate company vehicles in all weather conditions;

- Proficiency with mobile technology (Microsoft Office, iOS, email, and routing software);

- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to perform under pressure;

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with clients and teammates;

- Dependable, hardworking, and eager to learn and grow;
