Description:

Job Summary: The Field Service Technician will support the pre-commissioning, installation, commissioning, yearly equipment maintenance, field operator training and warranty commitments at customer locations across South-Western Pennsylvania (PA).

Responsibilities:

•

Create a positive customer experience at customer sites throughout Western Pennsylvania.

•

Install, test, troubleshoot, and maintain Qnergy’s Instrument Air products and remote power generation.

•

Perform remote field support, system and component testing.

•

Write product and process documentation, and lead training sessions.

•

Communicate manufacturing and engineering issues discovered in the field.

•

Work as part of a cross-functional team to find solutions.

Requirements:

Education & Experience:

•

High school diploma or equivalent required.

•

Valid driver's license with good driving record required.

•

1+ year of field experience: experience servicing air compressors, HVAC, and other rotating power equipment preferred preferred.

•

Advantage to have Post Secondary Technical diploma in engineering discipline (i.e. electrical, electronics, instrumentation, mechanical, etc.).

•

Advantage to have any safety certifications such as First Aid/CPR, H2S Alive, Common Safety Orientation, Transportation of Dangerous Goods and WHIMS.

Skills & Abilities:

•

Knowledge of and hands-on experience implementing safe practices.

•

Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and other documents.

•

Experience working on mechanical and electrical systems.

•

Effective written and verbal communication skills, and excellent record keeping abilities.

•

Self-directed, highly motivated and disciplined.

Work Environment:

•

Will be part of an on-call rotation requiring availability during non-standard hours.

•

Extensive travel on short notice for extended time periods, including weekends and holidays.

•

Outdoor exposure to varying PA weather conditions, including hot, cold, wet, and arid conditions.

•

Work may be performed in areas where noise levels are elevated.

•

Regularly required to perform a wide variety of physical Some lifting up to 80 pounds may be required.

•

Regular use of computers is required.

•

Requires presence in the office or on the job site.
