As a 2025 addition to the 120- year journey of Badger Meter to measure and manage the world’s most precious resource – water - SmartCover is a pioneering technology brand serving the water and wastewater industry. Driven by the mission to safeguard public health, protect the environment, and preserve the quality of life, SmartCover technology has supported essential infrastructure response teams across North America, preventing thousands of sewer spills and saving millions of dollars for wastewater utilities. SmartCover is based in the San Diego area with satellite offices across the United States.
The Field Service Tech is responsible for monitoring, maintaining, accurately troubleshooting, and repairing SmartCover™ Systems for all customer’s installed bases in Northern California. Provides Customer Relationship Management to create and maintain a strong customer loyalty and continuously improve customer satisfaction. Builds trust and maintains open communication with customer(s) in assigned area. Works independently in assigned territory while following company policy and culture protocols. May include the ability to travel outside of the state for other projects dependent upon training and success criteria. Adapts to rapidly changing priorities and consistently works within a balance between maximum efficiency without sacrificing quality of work.
This position will service the San Francisco and Sacramento areas initially, so it is preferred that the candidate reside in close proximity to that territory.
The target hourly rate for this role is $30-$33/hr.
