We are currently seeking experienced Field Service Technicians Full-Time to join our dynamic team in the Sarasota area. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks on water/wastewater projects throughout the Southeast. Candidates with experience in calibrating flow, level, and pressure transmitters, as well as reading electrical schematics, are required. Additional experience in fiber optic terminations and PLC/HMI program modifications is beneficial. Overnight travel is a requirement of this position. You will play a critical role in the installation and start-up of control systems, instrument calibrations, and Field Service for water and wastewater treatment facilities.
Responsibilities:
* Installation, troubleshooting, maintaining and repairing field instrumentation, including flow, level, and pressure transmitters. * Install, upgrade, repair and commission PLC hardware equipment for process control applications. * Test all repairs on-site in alignment with Plant Operations and Engineering policies accurately document all work performed, including Field Service Reports and timesheets. * Reading, interpreting and updating electrical schematics. * Perform fiber optic and ethernet cable terminations and PLC/HMI program modifications as required. * Must have the ability to communicate with others in written and verbal form.Requirements: * Minimum of 3 years of work experience with commissioning and calibration of Siemens, Endress & Hauser, Krohne and numerous other flows , level and pressure instrumentation. * Experience in calibrating flow, level, and pressure transmitters.. * Strong understanding of programming, technical commissioning guidelines and troubleshooting philosophies of field instrumentation and related components. * Familiarity with the use of industry-standard tools, equipment, and test devices, such as Fluke testers, meters and OTDR . * Provide exemplary customer service, maintain the highest service standards and client satisfaction. * Operate independently in the field, making informed decisions to resolve technical issues on-site. * The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong self-management skills, including the ability to set personal goals, stay organized, and adapt to changing priorities. * Ability to handle physical workloads, including lifting and carrying up to 50lbs, and the ability to climb, walk, sit and stand for extended periods of time. * Must possess a clean driving record and hold a current state driver's license.
Preferred Experience: * Strong mechanical aptitude with proven troubleshooting skills, particularly in low/medium voltage applications and related system diagnostics. * Competent in using computers and industry-specific software. * Proactively communicate issues and other concerns to the Project Engineer or Service Manager to enhance service delivery and field operations. * Experience in the water/wastewater treatment or related industry a plus. * Allen Bradley, Eaton and Schneider VFD experience is beneficial.
Desired Certifications & Training: * Certified Control Systems Technician Certification (CCST) * 2-year degree in Engineering or related field * Member of International Society of Automation (ISA) * Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
