The Opportunity Join Hitachi Energy as a Field Service Engineer and become a key player in our mission to power good for sustainable energy. Based in John's Creek, GA, you'll lead technical field assignments, from installation to repair of high voltage equipment (69kV to 550kV). How You'll Make An Impact
•Lead and execute field service operations with minimal guidance.
•Install and commission high voltage substation equipment.
•Supervise electricians and contractors.
•Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on high voltage equipment.
•Troubleshoot and repair equipment using your expertise.
•Conduct and document field tests, including electrical tests and SF6 leak detection.
•Compile data to resolve operating problems or malfunctions.
•Recommend improvements to enhance performance and customer satisfaction.
Your Background
•Technical certificate in an electrical or mechanical field with 5+ years of experience in high voltage substations.
•Alternatively, military experience with similar equipment is considered.
•Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering preferred.
•Proven leadership in coordinating and leading electrical project crews.
•Experience with power utilities.
•Proficiency in reading electrical drawings and schematics.
•Knowledge of operating test equipment like CB timers and Megger.
•Familiarity with Windows applications.
•Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
•Reside or willing to relocate to Johns Creek, GA.
