Position Overview:
Discovery Hydrovac is seeking a dedicated and organized Field Service Coordinator to join our dynamic team. This position plays a vital role in supporting our field operations by managing scheduling, dispatching, and coordination of field crews, ensuring projects are executed efficiently and safely. Additionally, the role involves coordinating a variety of administrative tasks between the field operations and office, ensuring seamless communication and operations. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, a strong communicator, and capable of juggling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
•Scheduling & Dispatching: Coordinate and schedule daily field operations for hydro excavation and utility location (SUE) services, ensuring that all jobs are completed according to client specifications and timelines.
•Field Coordination: Communicate with field crews to ensure they have all necessary resources, equipment, and job details. Provide real-time support as needed to ensure smooth operations.
•Communication: Act as a liaison between the field team and the office, ensuring clear communication and prompt resolution of any issues that may arise in the field. This includes keeping both teams informed of any changes, updates, or delays.
•Administrative Support: Handle a variety of administrative tasks between field operations and the office, including preparing reports, updating schedules, and managing job documentation. Ensure that all job-related paperwork is completed and submitted in a timely manner.
•Tracking & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of job schedules, completed work, and any changes or delays. Provide regular updates to the operations team and clients, as necessary.
•Problem-Solving: Quickly and efficiently address any field-related issues such as delays, equipment malfunctions, or personnel concerns, working with the team to find solutions.
•Safety & Compliance: Ensure that field crews are following all safety protocols, and that equipment is compliant with regulations.
•Customer Service: Maintain strong relationships with clients by ensuring their needs are met and exceeded, providing timely updates, and addressing concerns promptly.
•Documentation: Ensure that all necessary documentation, including job reports, timesheets, and incident reports, is submitted accurately and on time. Act as the main point of contact for all job-related documentation between the field and the office.
•Equipment Management: Track and manage field equipment, work with the appropriate departments ensuring it is properly maintained and available for each job.
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in field service coordination, dispatching, or a similar role, preferably within the construction, utilities, or industrial services industry.
Skills:
•Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
•Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
•Problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions in high-pressure situations.
•Proficient in using scheduling and dispatching software.
•Familiarity with safety protocols and regulatory compliance.
•Strong administrative skills, including document management, report generation, and scheduling coordination.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or relevant certifications preferred.
•Physical Requirements: Ability to work in an office environment while also being available to assist with field issues as needed.
•Additional Requirements: Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Ability to work flexible hours as needed to accommodate the field schedule.
