Position Specific Description

Join the world’s leading generator of wind energy as a High Voltage Technician at NextEra Energy. As a Field Operations High Voltage Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our high voltage electrical systems. You will assist in the inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of high voltage equipment and infrastructure.

This senior-level technical position provides expertise in the areas of transmission/substation operations, collection system construction and maintenance, transmission and substation maintenance, and troubleshooting. Additional responsibilities may include the support of senior-level technicians in project management and contractor oversite within a specified geographical region while ensuring the safe and reliable delivery of electricity to the power grid. This position requires less than 10% supervision and work oversight.

The estimated base pay for this position is $78,400.00 to $117,600.00 per year. Starting pay will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, experience, qualifications, job-related and industry knowledge and skills and education/training.
