Join a dedicated team serving the tri-state area (PA, WV, OH) as a Field Mechanic, where your expertise in diesel and hydraulic construction equipment will keep essential projects moving forward. - Travel to local job sites within the tri-state area to provide on-site maintenance and repair for construction equipment.
- Operate and drive a mechanics truck (under CDL) equipped with crane, welder, and compressor.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair diesel and hydraulic systems on equipment such as skid steers, excavators, dozers, crawler carriers, and trucks.
- Perform on-site fabrication and modifications as needed to ensure equipment reliability and safety.
- Inspect and monitor equipment to identify potential issues and perform preventative maintenance.
- Collaborate with field staff and management to prioritize repairs and ensure minimal equipment downtime.
- Document maintenance and repair activities, reporting results upon completion.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support field operations.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as a heavy equipment mechanic.
- Extensive knowledge of diesel and hydraulic mechanics.
- Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and other trade-related equipment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Must provide own tools for the trade.
- Valid Driver's License (Class C) required; CDL Class A or B is a plus.
- Hydraulic and Mechanic Certification is a plus.
- Physically able to reach, stoop, bend, and lift/carry/move up to 80 pounds regularly.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and concentrate in busy, noisy construction environments.
- Willingness to travel locally as required by company policy.
