Field Ironworker Foreman

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Ironworker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and welding, with the ability to read blueprints and schematics. As an Ironworker, you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing metal structures and frameworks, ensuring safety and quality standards are met on every project.

Responsibilities

- On Site erection of structural steel, misc. metals, stairs & rails

- Fabricate and assemble metal components according to specifications and blueprints

- Perform various welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, and Stick welding

- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and machinery such as press brake machines and plasma cutters

- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings

- Conduct rigging operations to safely lift and position materials using cranes or forklifts

- Measure and cut materials using calipers, micrometers, and basic math skills

- Install ductwork, piping systems, and other metal structures on construction sites

- Ensure compliance with ASME codes & standards during all fabrication processes

- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols

Requirements

- Proven experience in construction site environments

- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues

- Familiarity with fabrication processes including machining, soldering, and pipe threading

- Proficient in the use of cutting torch, plasma arc, and cutting machines

- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while demonstrating leadership skills

- Excellent problem-solving abilities with attention to detail

- Physical stamina to perform manual labor for extended periods of time

- Valid certifications in welding or related fields are a plus

- Must be OSHA certified

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.00 - $50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
