PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide detailed written reports to the Automation & Electrical Foreman regarding electrical service issues and field activities.
Communicate regularly with the Electrical team, Production Foremen, and Superintendents about electrical outages and system performance.
Assist in tracking and managing the inventory of electrical supplies and equipment.
Coordinate with electric utility providers and third-party contractors to install or upgrade electrical services.
Identify opportunities for electrical system optimization and report findings to supervisory staff.
Troubleshoot and repair a wide range of oilfield electrical equipment.
Respond promptly to service calls and perform repairs on downed electrical equipment.
Train field staff, including pumpers and technicians, on electrical safety practices and basic maintenance procedures.
Manage and maintain oilfield electrical systems, including motor sheave adjustments and equipment replacements.
Repair power lines and replace electrical components such as fuses and transformers.
Possess working knowledge of Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), auto transformers, and Electrical Submersible Pumps (ESPs), including installation and troubleshooting.
Conduct regular safety audits of electrical equipment and work areas to ensure compliance with safety standards.
Strictly adhere to company safety policies, procedures, and guidelines at all times.
Participate in safety meetings, training sessions, and incident investigations as required.
Promote a culture of safety by identifying and addressing potential hazards proactively.
Support additional tasks as assigned by the Electrical Foreman.


EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILLS:

High school diploma or GED required.
Minimum of 5 years of oilfield experience, with at least 2 years specifically in electrical work (e.g., electrician, lineman, or assistant roles).
Strong understanding of oilfield electrical systems and power line distribution.
Basic computer proficiency, particularly in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to work collaboratively across teams.
Self-starter with strong work ethic; able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Flexible, dependable, and team-oriented approach to fieldwork.
Possession of an electrical license is preferred but not required.


COMPENSATION:


Salary is commensurate with experience.


WORKING CONDITIONS:

Work is normally performed outdoors, where exposure to conditions of extreme heat/cold, fumes, and gases is common. Noise level is moderate to loud and includes sounds of construction, equipment operations, and trucks and like equipment. Job hazards include working in normal light and heavy construction activities, and working around pressured propane, water, electricity, and waste lines, and under all weather conditions. May work in areas where H2S is present. Overtime is sometimes required.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Work normally requires finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination to operate a computer keyboard at a moderate skill level. Work may require frequent pushing, pulling, or carrying 50 to 75-pound objects such as tools, equipment work operations. Work involves standing and walking most of the time, but will also involve sitting and driving for extended periods, sometimes over rough terrain.
