Overview
Position shall direct and coordinate line or service technicians assigned to construct, repair, maintain, inspect, and operate the electric distribution system. Position is responsible for ensuring all personnel under responsibility are properly trained and developed, and that all safety rules and work practices are followed. Position is also responsible for assuring employees under responsibility complete work in accordance with applicable Company and regulatory standards, and that all work is completed with consideration for the customer experience.
Responsibilities
• Ensure all personnel under responsibility perform work in accordance with applicable regulatory and Company safety rules.
• Ensure all personnel under responsibility are trained and developed to be knowledgeable of applicable construction, maintenance, repair, and operating standards commensurate with their assignments and position.
• Ensure personnel, equipment, and material resources are optimized, through effective planning, scheduling, and execution of assigned jobs.
• Effectively account for all assigned labor, materials, inventory, equipment, and vehicles in accordance with applicable Company policies.
• Effectively manage work priorities and risk.
• Work with Distribution Control to allocate available personnel as needed to respond to outages, emergencies, or other trouble on the electric distribution system.
• Support Electric Distribution’s protect, restore, and repair philosophies, through effective alignment and direction of resources to reported trouble.
• Evaluate and discuss employee’s job performance and progress, with Team Leader to assist in employee performance reviews evaluations, recommendations and promotions or disciplinary action.
• Effectively direct field employees in the execution of planned, unplanned, and emergency restoration work.
• Assist in conducting fact-finding investigations and participates in the decision-making process.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
•5+ years experience in electric distribution system construction, maintenance, repair, and operation as well as Journeyman classification.
•DL NUMBER - Driver License, Valid and in State Required
•Class A CDL License certified under the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and a Class A CDL with the following endorsements: air brakes, tankers, and hazardous materials. Required
Preferred Qualifications
•It is preferred that the incumbent live within 25 miles of report location or be willing to relocate.
•Good mathematical, literacy and communications skills.
•Demonstrated proficiency or knowledge of the Company’s Mobile, Work Management, Outage Management, and Mapping applications and associated technologies.
•Able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of electrical and mechanical principles associated with the construction, maintenance and operation of electric distribution systems.
