POSITION SUMMARY
A Field and Safety Training Manager develops, implements, and oversees safety policies, procedures, and training programs to ensure a safe and compliant work environment, particularly within field operations. This role requires a deep understanding of safety regulations, excellent communication and leadership skills, and the ability to develop and deliver effective training programs.
- Design, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety programs and procedures, including those related to general safety and specific vehicle-related hazards, ensuring they align with relevant regulations and company policies.
- Develop and deliver training programs for employees on safety procedures, hazard identification, accident prevention, and emergency response.
- Foster a positive safety culture by educating employees on safe work practices and encouraging proactive hazard reporting.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant safety regulations, industry best practices, and emerging safety technologies.
- Maintain accurate training records, track employee progress, and ensure compliance with training requirements.
- Work closely with the safety department, field management, supervisors, and employees to identify training needs, address safety concerns, and implement effective solutions.
- Create and update safety training materials, including presentations, handouts, and online resources.
- Represent the company and participate in safety-related meetings.
- Proven experience in safety management, preferably in a field-based environment.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations, such as OSHA, and industry best practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills; ability to develop and deliver effective training programs.
- A bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety or a related field is preferred.
- Relevant certifications in our industry may be required or preferred.
Employee must be able to successfully handle the physical demands of this position, which include the following:
- Regular Hours of operation are M-F, 8 a.m.- 5 p.m.
- Primarily sedentary or working at a desk
- Occasionally lift and move 10 -25 pounds
- While performing duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear
- Proficient literacy
- The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, or reach with hands and arms
