JOB SUMMARY

- Vendor Relationship Management: You'll be responsible for building and maintaining positive relationships with assigned vendors, providing them with training, and delivering feedback. This includes both corrective coaching and recognition for good performance.

- Quality Assurance and Compliance: A core part of your role is to evaluate and monitor whether vendors and their agents are adhering to company, legal, and regulatory requirements. This involves making field visits and accompanying agents to ensure sales and marketing practices are up to standard.

- Training and Development: You will conduct ongoing training with vendor teams, both in the field and in classroom settings, to ensure their procedures align with the company's requirements.

- Independent Operations and Travel: This position requires a high degree of independence. You'll need to schedule and execute your own travel to vendor locations, as travel is a significant part of the job (up to 80% of the time). You'll also be expected to work well remotely and take direction from a distance.

- Reporting and Analysis: You'll provide weekly feedback and analysis from your field visits and will be responsible for submitting accurate and timely expense and mileage reports.

- Process Improvement: A key part of the role is to identify and recommend solutions to improve processes, increase productivity, and streamline overall business objectives.

- Cross-Functional Collaboration: You'll need to work closely with various internal departments, such as Regulatory, Operations, and Commissions, to ensure alignment and address any issues.

- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for presenting data to vendors, providing coaching, and collaborating with internal teams. You must also be bilingual in English and Spanish.


SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

- Develop and maintain a positive working relationship with assigned vendors

- Operate with high personal and corporate integrity

- Perform ongoing training with vendors, including field and classroom training

- Independently schedule and execute travel to vendor locations.

- Provide field visit analysis/ feedback via weekly reporting

- Provide coaching to third party vendors

- Remain abreast of Sales, Legal, and Regulatory changes by participating in remote or in person meetings

- Must provide accurate and timely expense and mileage reporting to management

- Must be personable and able to adapt to a variety of personalities

- Collaborate cross functionally with other Spark groups; Operations, Regulatory, Commissions

- Responsible for identifying and recommending process improvement solutions for increased overall performance, productivity and capability.

- Demonstrates the will and capacity to continuously pursue aspirational improvements representative of a high performing organization

- Effectively engages and collaborates with people outside of direct functional area of responsibility

- Communicates effectively in clear, thorough and timely manner through all means, including active listening and professional body language

- Perform other duties and projects as assigned


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

- Required: Willing and able to travel up to 80%, has worked remote in the past

- Required: College degree or equivalent experience required

- Required: Bi-lingual (English and Spanish) required

- Required: 2+ years of retail energy experience

- Required: Current valid insurance

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Proficient with MS Suite, advanced knowledge in spreadsheet, database and presentation development applications.

- As this is a fast-paced environment with changing requirements, job flexibility is a necessity
