FF / EMT-B (Part-time)

Job Title: Firefighter / EMT-B Department: In-plant

Reports to: Captain

Position Summary: Responds to fire, medical, rescue and hazardous materials incidents during client’s emergencies. Conducts and receives emergency response training, performs inspections and preventative maintenance on emergency response equipment and fire protection systems within client’s facilities and provide rescue stand-by services.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, stoop and bend. Uses hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to kneel, crouch, climb or crawl. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

Combination of office and production environments. Routine exposures to significant levels of heat, cold, moisture and air pollution are possible/probable. The position may involve periodic exposure to chemical substances and physical trauma of a minor nature such as cuts, bruises, and minor burns.
