Position Summary
The Facilities Technician II is responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities within the geographic region. This role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building maintenance. The Facilities Technician will serve as a point of contact during emergency situations and assist with the security of our facility grounds, assets, and the service to our employees.
This position requires adherence to safety protocols, strong attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills. The ideal candidate must be able to work both independently and as part of a team. The Facilities Technician II will work under the supervision of the Facilities Manager, collaborate with other team members, and engage with multiple business groups to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
This position is located in Morgan City, LA, and requires a daily on-site work schedule. Capable of traveling to various facility locations as required for business needs. Rotational on-call support for nights, weekends, and holidays is a requirement of the position.
Duties And Responsibilities
•Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
•Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify and address maintenance needs.
•Ensure accurate and prompt documentation of all assigned facility request.
•Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies in a timely and efficient manner.
•Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment and fixtures.
•Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
•Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
•Assist in managing inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.
•Work closely with various business groups, external contractors, and vendors as required.
•Provide support for facility-related projects, initiatives, and company events.
•Assist with providing aid for department and office relocation, setup, remodeling, furniture, and cubicles.
•Support building security efforts and promptly respond to emergencies.
•Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of facility vehicles.
•Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours, weekends, and holidays.
•Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as required to support organizational objectives
Qualifications
REQUIRED:
•Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a facilities maintenance or a related field.
•Possesses general mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of building and utility systems
•Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, mechanical blueprints and electrical, and schematics.
•Computer literacy to allow for interface with company and maintenance management systems
•Valid Drivers License with good driving record; Must take and pass an approved Defensive Driving course yearly.
•Proficient in handling multiple tasks simultaneously in a high-engery environment and willing to embrace new challenges.
•Proficient in using tools and skilled in operating electrical equipment on the job.
•Proficient in both independent and team-oriented tasks.

•Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, climbing, and working in various environmental conditions.
Desired
•High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in facilities maintenance or a related field is preferred.
•Strong knowledge and experience of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, locksmith, carpentry, and mechanical systems.
•Stationary Engineering License; trained to operate, troubleshoots, and overseas

Additional Information
WORKING CONDITIONS:
This position is considered ONSHORE WORK which is characterized as follows:
•This position may require working in various environmental conditions, including exposure to extreme weather and temperatures, noise, and hazardous materials.
•Requires working on or near moving equipment and vibrating equipment; Able to work at heights, and near water.
•Frequently the humidity is above 90%, noise is over 85 decibels and the light are intense/glare
•Occasional exposure to open fire/flames/sparks.
•Frequent exposure to airborne dust, fumes, and gases.
•Must wear personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
•The role involves standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods.
