About This Job

Do you have experience in small engine repair, plumbing, or carpentry? Put your hands-on skills to work in a role that helps protect public health and the environment.

We are currently hiring for two full-time Facilities Maintenance positions. Depending on your experience and qualifications, you may be hired at either the Facilities Maintenance Worker 1 level or the Facilities Maintenance Technician 1 level, with opportunities to progress within each track.

One of these positions will focus on general maintenance skills with an emphasis on small engine repair and/or plumbing. The second position will emphasize carpentry skills.

The Facilities Maintenance employee provides general maintenance support to the District's Maintenance program, ensuring that both District and customer community facilities are properly maintained and serviced on schedule. We are specifically seeking candidates with experience in small engine repair-including Scag riding mowers, water pumps, 2-stroke landscaping tools, and chainsaws-and/or plumbing/carpentry.

This role includes performing preventive and corrective maintenance across a wide variety of assets, including carpentry, caulking, painting, masonry, tank repairs, general construction, snow removal, and grounds maintenance. Work will take place at the treatment plant, regional pumping stations, and occasionally within customer communities.

The Facilities Maintenance employee operates under the general direction of the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor, who coordinates the planning and scheduling of tasks.
